Especially for Eric

Since Eric seems obsessed with having me draw something to represent his name, I decided to make a rebus for him.

(Click on it for a larger version)

Now he just has to figure out how exactly this translates to his name. I will provide clues if he wusses out.

This is a lot harder than your book quiz.

Stupid unrelated question: what time zone are you guys in (and yes, I realize I could look this up for myself in the time it's taking me to type this)?

Dear, I think you forgot the horn on the narwahl.

well I have two out of three for sure, the last one is a bit of a stretch, but here goes.

Air + Ichtyasaurus - Tyrannosaurus (but not Rex, because Rex means king, and this Tyrannosaurus is clearly a bishop or priest of some kind, definitely not a king, though.) = Eric

Am I right? If not, I need a hint for that last clue.

And for the record I got that far without your hint in the follow up post. Now I'm pondering the made up word that is the T-Rex. My version is clever though, right?

Hey, you're getting there. It's just a matter of simple subtraction once you know the middle word, right?

Chris says he solved it a few minutes after he posted his comment in this thread... 0wnzed! He also told me he thought a rebus was supposed to be letter-for-letter, but a rebus is indeed phonetic. Maybe I'll come up with one that doesn't contain any made-up words and see what y'all make of it.

I'm trying to figure out what word you could possibly construct that would necessitate "minus Pope-asaurus."
